Empowering Local Communities For Development

Education is the bedrock of human social, economic, cultural and political development. Hence its importance to human development cannot be overemphasized. Realizing the importance of education, many parents have tried to send their children to school. However it has been as challenge for most Zambian parents to consistently pay tuition and other accompanying fees. This has led to many children being denied their right to education.
Nevertheless, PAF has trained a number of adults (parents and guardians) in various income generating activities through its various Adult Education programmes. One such group is that of women in Namayani, in the rural Chibombo district in Zambia with support from the United Church of Canada (UCC).
